Tyranny

Tyranny is the cruel and oppressive government or rule.

According to Black's Law Dictionary it is the "Arbitrary or despotic government; the severe and autocratic exercise of sovereign power, either vested constitutionally in one ruler, or usurped by him by breaking down the division and distribution of governmental powers."

That is very similar to Webster's 1828 dictionary which defines tyranny as:

1. Arbitrary or despotic exercise of power; the exercise of power over subjects and others with a rigor not authorized by law or justice, or not requisite for the purposes of government. Hence tyranny is often synonymous with cruelty and oppression.

2. Cruel government or discipline; as the tyranny of a master.

3. Unresisted and cruel power.

4. Absolute monarchy cruelly administered.

5. Severity; rigor; inclemency.

While rulers may be cruel and oppressive and earn the name of tyrant we should ask ourselves who actually has been "breaking down the division and distribution of governmental powers."

In America at one time there was a government of the people, for the people and by the people in which the individual enjoyed liberty under God in what was called a Republic. In such a government the welfare of our neighbor's was dependent upon charity, not upon the power of Government. Today, the people are dependent almost entirely upon Legal charity and the welfare State while the Modern Church has become impotent in the exercise of pure Religion through the perfect law of liberty and The Way of Christ.

This was a long time coming and seldom begins with the rise of a single tyrant nor despot. Despotism begins in the hearts and minds of the people when they are slothful in the exercise of their responsibility imposed by God to love their neighbor at least as much as they love themselves. Without the exercise of responsibility the exercise of rights will soon be curtailed if not eliminated.

DOD DATA

Numerous doctors at the Department of Defense are seeing a frightening and I president rise in serious ailment among soldiers and their families after vaccinations.

According to the military, DMED of the Armed Forces Health Surveillance Branch’s (AFHSB) since they began vaccinating the military there has been a:

  • 300% increase in cancer diagnoses,
  • 1,000% increase in diagnosis codes for neurological issues,
  • myocardial infarction –269% increase,
  • Bell’s palsy – 291% increase
  • congenital malformations (for children of military personnel)– 156% increase
  • female infertility – 471% increase
  • pulmonary embolisms – 467% increase

None of this showing the long term effects to the immune system.

The evidence that these responses and sideffects were to be expected were well known by top scientists in 2020 and published on our website and explained to the network but ignored and censored by the media.

Foreboding of Carl Sagan

Carl Sagan wrote:

“Science is more than a body of knowledge; it is a way of thinking. I have a foreboding of an America in my children's or grandchildren's time—when the United States is a service and information economy; when nearly all the key manufacturing industries have slipped away to other countries; when awesome technological powers are in the hands of a very few, and no one representing the public interest can even grasp the issues; when the people have lost the ability to set their own agendas or knowledgeably question those in authority; when, clutching our crystals and nervously consulting our horoscopes, our critical faculties in decline, unable to distinguish between what feels good and what's true, we slide, almost without noticing, back into superstition and darkness."

Carl went onto write:

"The dumbing down of American is most evident in the slow decay of substantive content in the enormously influential media, the 30 second sound bites (now down to 10 seconds or less), lowest common denominator programming, credulous presentations on pseudoscience and superstition, but especially a kind of celebration of ignorance.”[1]

That dumbing down did not begin with this generation. They are not following the science but the "pseudoscience and superstition" of celebrities and the media.

Once Americans became accustomed to taking from their neighbor through the force and exercising authority of government so they could have benefits at their neighbors' expense liberty in America was doomed. Until we repent of the idea that the government should be our benefactors and seek to provide our social welfare needs through charity there will be no hope for a return to true liberty and freedom. “The real destroyers of the liberties of the people is he who spreads among them bounties, donations, and benefits.” Plutarch

JFK who basically said not to ask what your government can do for you but ask what you can do for your government. You should actually ask what you can do for one another. After JFK there was LBJ who wanted the government to do everything for you. His war on poverty was, in fact, a war on liberty. But LBJ was not the first. Just go back to the free bread of Rome and you will see history repeating itself as it did with FDR and the rise of the welfare state and "legal charity" in America.

"That the man who first ruined the Roman people twas he who first gave them treats and gratuities" Plutarch's Life of Coriolanus (c. 100 AD.)

The Bible warned you in hundreds of places... "When thou sittest to eat with a ruler, consider diligently what [is] before thee:" Proverbs 23:1

You sold your birth right of liberty for a "bowl of porage" like Esau. Paul warned you in Romans 11:9 "And David saith, Let their table be made a snare, and a trap, and a stumblingblock, and a recompence unto them:" but he was quoting David in Psalms 69:22 "Let their table become a snare before them: and that which should have been for their welfare, let it become a trap." But of course Peter also told you how you would become human resources belonging to the state where it would be no longer "your body" in 2 Peter 2:3, "And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not." and again he repeats that warning in 2 Peter 2:14 "Having eyes full of adultery, and that cannot cease from sin; beguiling unstable souls: an heart they have exercised with covetous practices; cursed children:"

But Jesus said it best in Luke 22:25 "And he said unto them, The kings of the Gentiles exercise lordship over them; and they that exercise authority upon them are called benefactors. 26 But ye [shall] not [be] so: but he that is greatest among you, let him be as the younger; and he that is chief, as he that doth serve." (See Benefactors essay.)

Numerous scientists have been telling and showing us a different science than the "pseudoscience and superstition" of celebrities and the media. Because we have been biting one another through government it was inevitable that same government would eventually devour us and our rights.

Even if we understood the science we need to repent of the covetous practices and the tyranny in our own hearts that says it is okay to take from our neighbor through the power of government which such welfare programs by the State require. We have neglected, through sloth and avarice, our responsibility to love one another and by doing so we have dissolved the bands of a free society that could have secured our rights from the tyranny of our present world.

Cicero's reason

  • “True law is right reason in agreement with nature; it is of universal application, unchanging and everlasting; it summons to duty by its commands, and averts from wrongdoing by its prohibitions… It is a sin to try to alter this law, nor is it allowable to repeal any part of it, and it is impossible to abolish it entirely. We cannot be freed from its obligations by senate or people, and we need not look outside ourselves for an expounder or interpreter of it. And there will not be different laws at Rome and at Athens, or different laws now and in the future, but one eternal and unchangeable law will be valid for all nations and at all times, and there will be one master and ruler, that is God, over us all, for he is the author of this law, its promulgator and its enforcing judge. Whoever is disobedient is fleeing from himself and denying his human nature, and by reason of this very fact he will suffer the worst punishment.” – Marcus Tullius Cicero

It is not right reason that one man or a group of men can take away the rights of others without bringing their own rights in jeopardy. It is the tyrant in every man's soul that gives rise to the tyranny of the world in which they live. As Polybius wrote before Cicero was born:

"The masses continue with an appetite for benefits and the habit of receiving them by way of a rule of force and violence. The people, having grown accustomed to feed at the expense of others and to depend for their livelihood on the property of others... institute the rule of violence; [2] and now uniting their forces massacre, banish, and plunder,[3] until they degenerate again into perfect savages and find once more a master and monarch." [4] [5]

Polybius saw the downfall of the republic by way of their free bread and welfare a 150 years before the first Emperor of Rome and 175 years before the birth of John the Baptist and Jesus the Christ who opposed these same systems of free bread at your neighbor's expense.
The authoritarian State often uses force and violence to become the Benefactors of the people if the covet what is their neighbors'. They make a social contract where one class of citizen is forced to provide for another class through "legal charity" which is not true charity. The writings of the Apostles warned along with countless passages of ancient writings of the prophets including Proverbs 23 which warned them about what Christ forbid which was the covetous practices of socialist forms of government.

"But when a new generation arises and the democracy falls into the hands of the grandchildren of its founders, they have become so accustomed to freedom and equality that they no longer value them, and begin to aim at pre-eminence; and it is chiefly those of ample fortune who fall into this error. 6 So when they begin to lust for power and cannot attain it through themselves or their own good qualities, they ruin their estates, tempting and corrupting the people in every possible way. 7 And hence when by their foolish thirst for reputation they have created among the masses an appetite for gifts and the habit of receiving them, democracy in its turn is abolished and changes into a rule of force and violence. 8 For the people, having grown accustomed to feed at the expense of others and to depend for their livelihood on the property of others, as soon as they find a leader who is enterprising but is excluded from the houses of office by his penury, institute the rule of violence; 9 and now uniting their forces massacre, banish, and plunder, until they degenerate again into perfect savages and find once more a master and monarch." For no sooner had the knowledge of the jealousy and hatred existing in the citizens against them which is replaced by democracy, emboldened some one to oppose the government by word or deed, than he was sure to find the whole people ready and prepared to take his side. Having then got rid of these rulers by assassination or exile, they do not venture to set up a king again, being still in terror of the injustice to which this led before; nor dare they intrust the common interests again to more than one, considering the recent example of their misconduct: and therefore, as the only sound hope left them is that which depends upon themselves, they are driven to take refuge in that; and so changed the constitution from an oligarchy to a democracy, and took upon themselves the superintendence and charge of the state. And as long as any survive who have had experience of oligarchical supremacy and domination, they regard their present constitution as a blessing, and hold equality and freedom as of the utmost value. But as soon as a new generation has arisen, and the democracy has descended to their children’s children, long association weakens their value for equality and freedom, and some seek to become more powerful than the ordinary citizens; and the most liable to this temptation are the rich. (which degenerates into rule of corruption and violence, only to be stopped by a return to despotism.) So when they begin to be fond of office, and find themselves unable to obtain it by their own unassisted efforts and their own merits, they ruin their estates, while enticing and corrupting the common people in every possible way. By which means when, in their senseless mania for reputation, they have made the populace ready and greedy to receive bribes, the virtue of democracy is destroyed, and it is transformed into a government of violence and the strong hand. For the mob, habituated to feed at the expense of others, and to have its hopes of a livelihood in the property of its neighbours, as soon as it has got a leader sufficiently ambitious and daring, being excluded by poverty from the sweets of civil honours, produces a reign of mere violence. Then come tumultuous assemblies, massacres, banishments, redivisions of land; until, after losing all trace of civilisation, it has once more found a master and a despot."
