The history of modern Christianity concerns the popular ideas of the Christian religion from the Early Modern history of Christianity which is usually taken to begin with the Protestant Reformation rounded down to 1500. Some saying it ended in the late 18th century with the onset of the Industrial Revolution and the events leading up to the French Revolution of 1789.

But there is nothing modern about the time between 1500 to the 1800. So those after that period would have been the new modern and that would makes us the New New Modern.

The terms here like new and modern refers to a different form of Christianity that was altered from the original teachings of Christ. That altering began from day one and by 1066 had formed a completely different alternative Christianity that had little to do with Christ or His teachings.

It amazes me having studied the early church for half a century and what it was actually doing, what the world was doing and why Jesus' kingdom/form of government was not a part of that world. Modern ministers suggest, even teach, that the kingdom, God's form of government, is not at hand and distract people with a new definition of religion.

I was not surprised to discover what the Christian conflict was between them and the Roman world although it will shock most modern Christians and non Christians if they took the time to find out and were willing to see the truth when it is presented.

The early Christians not only practiced pure religion they refused to practice the Public religion that Modern Christians are so fond of today. Grasping these concepts blows away the fog and confusion, the smoke and mirrors, created by the Modern Church revealing the simplicity of the gospel of Christ and that Paul was preaching and what Christ's true followers should be doing and how it sets you free in deed.

The modern Christian is often seen doing daily what those early Christians were persecuted and even killed for not doing. We will also cover all this in our series on "that word you use" like religion and faith.
