Graven Images

It is very dangerous to use information and assume you have constructed an image of reality and understand things clearly. The written word may mislead people as much for what they are failing to say as for what they contain.

There is often a critical element of the Gospel missing in the thinking of modern Christians as there was in the Pharisees who opposed Jesus as the Christ. The reason we do not understand things clearly is often because we are not as forgiving and as giving as Christ. We also are unwilling to think that we may have been deceived or are just wrong.

We eat of the tree of knowledge instead of the tree of life because of our unforgiveness, personal pride and even just a little of our selfishness blocks new understanding.

Once we have not truly submitted to Christ or let us say failed to completely submit to His way we will create an image other than what God intended for us, first in our heads or mind and then in reality with our hands.

Unmooring the Metaphor

"Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image (פֶ֣֙סֶל֙), or any likeness [of any thing] that [is] in heaven above, or that [is] in the earth beneath, or that [is] in the water under the earth:" Exodus 20:4

Nimrod to Now Series: Part 2: Golden Calf ~5 min

Certainly the Golden calf was a graven image and they bowed down and served it but it also was a reserve bank or fund that helped bind the people together.

Most people do not understand that so the fail to understand what a "graven image" is and why it can be a bad thing we should avoid.

"Ye shall make you no idols nor graven image( וּפֶ֤סֶל), neither rear you up a standing image, neither shall ye set up [any] image of stone in your land, to bow down unto it: for I [am] the LORD your God." Leviticus 26:1

There are many metaphors and allegories in the Bible and in the Hebrew language. If we are not aware of these and the idioms of language translators and teachers may deceive us into thinking something is true when it is not.

"The graven images of their gods shall ye burn with fire: thou shalt not desire the silver or gold [that is] on them, nor take [it] unto thee, lest thou be snared therein: for it [is] an abomination to the LORD thy God." Deuteronomy 7:25

To understand what graven images are and who their gods many are is very important to avoid real and actual idolatry. Words are the symbols of ideas and when you unmoore the metaphor from its meaning you sacrifice the truth on the altars of your own mind.

In truth, it was the result of already having the spirit of idolatry in their hearts which enters into our minds and hearts when we are not filled with the Holy Spirit of God. When our hearts are missing an element of God and His ways of righteousness.

How far and how deep does the spirit of graven images go?

This is the meaning of 06459 לספ pecel peh’- sel from 06458; n m; AV-graven image 28, carved image 2, graven 1; 31 1) idol, image

The Hebrew letters mean:

פ ף PEI Communication: The Oral Torah The mouth, blow, edge . [Mouth speak open word]
ס SAMECH The Eternal Cycle The circular symbolizes the fundamental truth

The combination of these two letters ספ produce words like part or lame or even color as if not quite white or pure.

Most Hebrew words are three letters to be complete and to complete the idea of a graven image they add a ל LAMED

ל LAMED Aspiration of the Heart to learn or direct like a shepherd [connected to the Hand prod, staff, whip... tongue]

We create graven images all the time. They are the institutions we create with our own hands. They distract us from the way of God as we substitute the institutions of Nimrod, Cain, Pharaoh and Caesar and their ways of self-righteousness for the way of Christ and righteousness of God. By plucking information from the tree of knowledge rather than the tree of life we become lost in the branches. We never get all the knowledge and so we are easily led astray by some knowledge if we have not the Holy Spirit to be our comforter.

Evil plays on our emotions and pride, whittles away at us with judgment and unforgiveness and of course sloth and avarice.

We create vain philosophies that fall short of the light and righteousness of God because we are not willing to know the whole truth. The Bible is about how we should govern ourselves. Many like to hear about governments and their corruption but what of our own quest for the Kingdom of God and His righteousness?

Because of our rebellious nature we reject the Spirit of God that is trying to lead us in the way of righteousness and we fail to see clearly what is right before us. We rationalize an idea we want to believe is true and argue against an idea that might contradict our faith in the image of truth we have created.

Were these references to the golden calf at the foot of Mt Sinai, Jeroboam's two golden calves in 1 Kings 12:25-33 or the one we see in Hosea[1] simply superstitious idolatry or was it part of a national economic system like the one used in Egypt to bind the people in servitude?

Many of the city-states used such systems to bind the people together and secure their loyalty?
Understanding the true meaning of the word worship, which is serving, is important to knowing the whole truth and providing for it.
The creation of the Federal Reserve was not only part of a depository for the wealth of the people it was a departure from just weights and measures.
The "Reserve Fund" it created and the choice which would move from the hands of the people into the hands of an elite class would return the masses to the bondage of Egypt.
"A revolution is taking place which will leave the people dependent upon the government and place the government where it must decide questions that are far better left to the people to decide for themselves. Finding markets will develop into fixing prices, and finding employment will develop into fixing wages. The next step will be to furnish markets and employment, or in default pay a bounty and dole. Those who look with apprehension on these tendencies do not lack humanity, but are influenced by the belief that the result of such measures will be to deprive the people of character and liberty." Calvin Coolidge The New York Tribune, June 20, 1931.
The revolution they will need is to Repent and seek the Kingdom of God and His Righteousness which is The Way of Christ, Moses, and the Early Church.
Banking on one purse to bind the people with a golden statue has been part of the schemes of the Nimrods and Cains of the world. These systems of central wealth and the exchange systems they use bind the people until the false benefactors and the fathers of the earth arise as the people degenerate into perfect savages become fit subjects of tyrants and despots. Jesus was not a socialist.

The Delay

  • "And when the people saw that Moses delayed to come down out of the mount, the people gathered themselves together unto Aaron, and said unto him, Up, make us gods, which shall go before us; for [as for] this Moses, the man that brought us up out of the land of Egypt, we wot not what is become of him." Exodus 32:1

Golden Statues

The practice of creating statues made of gold or silver was not mere superstition, but a practicality stimulated by fear and a lack of faith.

The people literally deposited their gold, as well as other goods, into a common purse [2] sacrificed the right to it, and took, in turn, some sort of exchangeable token.[3] The gold was poured or plated into a large statue for all to see.[4] The wealth of the community was melted together.

The result of this common purse was that no one person could leave in the face of an enemy attack or trouble without leaving behind the wealth deposited in the golden idol. This was a way of creating a closed society[5] but it bound the people and their loyalty and lead to centralization of power in society.

Their scarabs or tokens, which acted as a medium of exchange in a closed economy, were worthless except within their community. There was a possibility of some exchange with other communities but management practices may vary from group to group creating inequalities that allow for profit. The priests of the temple kept track of all the complexities of this monetary system and, of course, eventually the profits from interest and usury.

These systems besides leading the people back to the bondage of Egypt were too common in the world which produced a need for the principle of "just weights and measures".[6]

The Reserve Fund

This was a common plan found in many governments of that day and this. They deposited their family wealth in a central vault controlled by trusted men of government, in this case the golden calf was their reserve fund.[7] Moses understood how it was a wicked thing to bind the people by anything more than love for one another, a passion for mercy and justice and the way of God the Father.

Nimrod to Now Series: Part 2: Golden Calf ~5 min

This practice was used in Athens, who called their golden statue of a god the reserved fund. In 406 B.C., at the close of the Peloponnesian war, after a naval disaster, Athens equipped and manned its new fleet by sending the gold statue of the god Nike (in the Parthenon) to the mint.

These idols of old were not just superstitious mumbo-jumbo, but paganism with a purpose. The statues were symbols for systems created by the hand of men. To bow down to an idol was to make yourself subject to the system it represented. That was idolatry.

Where these statues were made of precious metal like gold they did more than represent the system but also were a reserved fund established to protect the wealth of the people in a common purse but also to guarantee their loyalty. It also assured the power of the ruling elite. The king of Sodom had put more value on ”his” human resources than the treasure of his city. [8]

Aaron also knew these “arts of the temple and accommodated the people. But Moses was outraged with the people for entrusting their family wealth in this unrighteous mammon. He knew it would return people to the bondage of Egypt. Moses then called out the Church in the wilderness to undo the mess they got into. Christ did the same when He called out the Church.

"Bishops, presbyters(Elder) and deacons occupy in the church the same positions as those which were occupied by Aaron, his sons, and the Levites in the temple." –Jerome, Ep. 146

The early Church did not depend upon a centralized treasury nor men who called themselves benefactors but exercised authority one over the other and neither did the Levites. They did not pray to the fathers of the earth but to their Father who art in Heaven. Those prayers were often answered by the Holy Spirit living in the hearts of the men and women as they freely assembled through faith, hope and charity and the perfect law of liberty.

Some people believe Capitalism enables the richest few to control everything for their sole benefit.” They believe that, “Efficient rationing by the State would allow everyone to have the ability to get everything they need to have at least close to the same quality of life as everyone else.”

Rome tried state control of the means of production and they got chaos, economic decline and eventually collapse. While the Roman empire was suffering under runaway inflation, forced price controls, regulated rationing and free bread. They still suffered mass shortages.

However the Christian community was not only surviving, but thriving. They did this by balancing capitalism with moral virtue and a network of charitable practices rather than the covetous practices of Rome's socialist state. The only reason the rich may have an advantage over the poor because the poor do not come together in a similar system of moral virtue and a network of charity.

Christ had forbid socialism and the use of government control, but not without offering an alternative. One of the basic problems with society today is that it does not understand what the early Christians were doing, including the modern Christians.

We are obligated by the Father in heaven to dress and keep all that He gave us including our neighbor. The Way He has always done this was by living altars of Clay and Stone.
Abraham, Moses and Jesus all appointed such altars of unhewn stone. Jesus as high priest and king took the kingdom away from the Pharisees who sat in the seat of Moses by the words of their own mouth and appointed it to another. The Potestas, Imperium and Auctoritas of government belongs in each family, in the Pater Familias, from generation to generation of those who live by faith rather than force. God intended each father to be ruled in their hearts and minds, not by the fathers of the earth. If your natural father sells that right you will not inherit it. This is why Israel was still in bondage 400 years after the actions of their ancestors and it is why people are in bondage today and cannot just free themselves or redeem themselves. We congregate in hope of His redemption to seek the kingdom of God and His righteousness.

Why Congregate

Why should we Congregate?

The people of every free government, from the beginning of man's history, have congregated together in Free Assemblies to help maintain their mutual liberty. The greatest threat to a free society comes from within, not from without. A free society is bound by Social Virtues like love and honor and not by Contracts, covenants and constitutions which limit freedom of choice.

Historically, small groups gathered together in these social networks to protect individual liberty, sacred under a fundamental moral code. People functioned in a free society and cared about their neighbors and their neighbors' rights as much as their own.

This is, and was, what early Israel and early Rome were doing, and what the early Church did because the people were willing to repent and think and act in a different way. It has been said that there is strength in numbers, but the manner in which society establishes those bands that connect them with one another are many fold.

The method and manner used to bind society determines the fruit of that society but the why for His Church is because Jesus as the Christ commanded that His disciples make the people organize themselves in by companies in ranks, by hundreds, and by fifties..[9].

Man is gregarious by nature

There is a natural emotional need in mankind to gather with others like themselves. Gathering together in fellowships offers individuals emotional and even psychological support to their purposes and satisfaction. However, the emotional dependence upon a group can become a form of bondage. Your intent or spirit for gathering can either facilitate that bondage or protect you from it.

The question you must ask should answer why are you gathering.

While what would qualify as a cult might cultivate a welcomed emotional dependence, it also may go so far as to completely remove a member from their support systems of friends and family. A cult may even be a means of making income, thus causing a person to become physically and financially dependent upon the group, and therefore its leaders.

There are other, more subtle, ways of creating an emotional dependency.

For example, Modern Churches will try to fill a natural emotional need for community and fellowship. Their attempt to feed or satisfy an emotional dependency in the congregant can also cultivate the quality of loyalty in attending congregants. Such churches may use guilt or even fear of condemnation if a congregant stops going to church.

This type of church may be catering to an individual's existing emotional weakness. Their weakness manifests itself by granting power to leaders as seen with Saul in 1 Samuel 8, opening a door to a leader's controlling spirit. He will secure his leadership position of loaned power using various methods as seen the case of Saul. Banning members from meeting, communing with others outside the Church congregation, or an over-shadowing denominational loyalty are all signs of the syndrome.

The opposite is true with Jesus who met with both sinners and saints, Jew and Samaritan and even Romans. In fact, He clearly states that He came that the whole world might be saved.[10]

Of course loyalty is a virtue and therefore is a good thing. Yet it is the intent and motivation behind that loyalty which leads to the production of good fruit. Thieves and robbers have loyalty too. Loyalty for the wrong reason or compelled (forced) loyalty are both forms of bondage.

Loyalty in a true congregation of Christ is loyalty to the righteousness of God which is what we are to be seeking. Loyalty to individuals by virtue of their office or to the symbols of that office are forms of Idolatry.

When the people looked to Peter as a leader of the Church to dictate commands his response was clear:

"Then Peter opened [his] mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons: But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him." Acts 10:34-35

People who need

"People who need people"[11] may not be the luckiest people in the world.

Society needs people because there is no society of "one." Again, it is the motivating intent or spirit behind this normal need that makes the difference as to the resulting fruit.

The People song by Merrill and Styne goes onto say that "Lovers are very special people, They're the luckiest people In the world."

But there are at least two kinds of love. There is the love that consumes the life of others and the love that gives life to others. Lovers in a consuming relationship are not lucky but are doomed.

If there is "A feeling deep in your soul Says you were half, Now you're whole." what gave you that feeling of fulfillment?

Christ spoke of "No more hunger and thirst."[12]

The water he spoke of was a spiritual water.[13] which included something called worship and truth.

Over a hundred years ago Easton said worship is homage which is "Ceremonial acknowledgment by a vassal of allegiance to his lord under feudal law."

When Jesus said he would build His Church upon the rock[14] he was talking about the divine revelation of the individual like Simon. The rock or peter in the Greek was an inner knowing and faith expressed by Simon Bar Jona which was the result of a personal revelation by God and not revealed by the actions of flesh and blood.[15] So we do not want to be dependent upon our leaders nor upon the emotional support of the congregation, but upon The Holy Spirit of God himself.

The value of the congregation is more in the opportunity of serving and forgiving others rather in being served or forgiven by others. This is essential in the purpose of our gathering if we are to be blessed by God.

The truth is we need an unselfish guiding force/light in our life to truly bless others in our life. According to the scriptures that guidance is to be supplied by the Holy Spirit[16] who should be our comforter.[17]

If the Holy Spirit is our comforter the reason we need people should not be to be comforted.

Need to give and forgive

Christ came to give and forgive, to serve and to sacrifice himself for others. We must gather with people[18] not because we need them to sacrifice for us but because we need to sacrifice and serve others so we may also come in the name of Christ, and for His purposes.

Christ makes it clear that if we want to be forgiven we must forgive.[19] If we need people it should be because we need to forgive. So in that need to forgive others our enemy becomes our ally.[20]

If we break this down into the psychology of the individual we can see that people who have trouble with neediness often get involved with very dependent partners so they don’t have to feel their own neediness. Their neediness subjects them to control by others, which they resent. In turn, their resentment draws them stealthily to want to control others in the same way others controlled them.

We become a reflection of that which we will not forgive. Such unforgiveness gets projected into our partner, friends or congregants as an expression of "neediness." Looking deeper, you may also find that supposedly dependent and helpless people are extremely controlling and manipulative once they become dependent on others for support.

When people put leaders and associates on pedestals [princes, presidents, pastors or fellow pirates] they leave members to appear as mere subordinates. This is a father-child type relationship, that taken to the extreme, leads to abuse. On a grander scale it can lead to tyranny.

Fellowship of lies

Dependence and being needy carry a charge negativity in our culture but we can cover that over with words like fellowship. We have to realize that much of this is not consciously done. But just searching for a church or congregation that makes you "feel comfortable" especially if it takes you away from others you have called friend or brothers brings a possible dependence vulnerability or personal neediness into question.

Individuals who take on a roll of dependence or appear helpless often have an unhealthy desire of controlling their partners or fellow congregants for personal emotional gain. This commonly arises in male female relationships where there is an unconscious resentment for previous authority exercised earlier in their life. In the case of physical abuse victims you will often find a woman escaping from one abusive relationship only to enter the arms of another individual who eventually abuses them.

Society and community and therefore the church congregation may repeat this pattern.

Some may force or entice others to assume the role of emotional caretaker [guide or guru, mentor or master, pastor or pope, president or prime-minister] so they may manipulate their emotional protagonist [leader, preacher, pastor] into giving what is wanted, be it emotional or eventual financial support.

We may have all seen how children will try to get their way by nagging and fussing. There are also children who get their way by softly and meekly pleading for what they want in a sort of projected false humility or helplessness, while in fact they are merely pulling the strings like a professional puppeteer.

Both play the same role of controller from a different fantasy or imagined dependence. Psychologists call the role playing needy as “Omnipotent babies” who like to appear helpless and childlike but secretly want to pull the strings of their pastors or partners like the puppets they secretly imagine them to be.

The natural structure of the kingdom of God expressed in the practices ( Rituals and Ceremonies ) of early Israel and the early Church guard against the emotional dependency that creeps into any social structure or gathering. But there is no structure that can give total immunity without the Spirit of God dwelling in the hearts and minds of the people.

Forgiveness and giving in the Spirit of Christ is essential.

People who demonstrate emotional dependency and helplessness often have little tolerance or real love and patience for the pastor or person who seems needless.

They are both in denial about their real needs but are compensating in different ways.

Christ is sufficient, but you have to accept and love the real Christ who says you should seek the kingdom of God and His righteousness. You should not be denying and projecting your needs.

Matthew 18:3 "And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven. Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven."

Being a little child to what Father?

We are to call no man on earth Father. Not our Pastor or preacher or any leader and certainly not any ruler who exercises authority. We are not to put men on pedestals of power or influence, but look to our Father in heaven.

So, how do we avoid the addiction to an emotional dependency that comes with a cell congregation. In the article Emotional Dependency in Cells How to identify and break the bondage of dependent relationships by Steve Prokopchak we see a clear case of emotional dependency. How do we set the dependent free while remaining free of their natural trap of co-dependence.

Prokopchak asks "A primary function of the cell group is to lend itself to closer, more intimate relationships. But, what happens when these relationships become ingrown or dependent and a destructive bondage develops?"

First we must accept that a dysfunctional home is the product of a disconnection with God and His Holy Spirit and dysfunction is a product of an unhealthy relationship with two or more disconnected souls or persons.

In other words two souls have been disconnected from the righteousness of God and they are trying to compensate in some form of social relationship.

They are both needy and are not helping but often making the situation worse. An illusion of aid is given at the price of more dependency and an inevitable return to a cyclical process. People learn to manage the problem but never overcome it.

Like modern medicine we are only dealing with the symptom and not the source.

We may try to list off things that lead to emotional dependency, such as Feelings of Insecurity. The truth is feelings of security are just as dangerous because they are feelings and may have nothing to do with the real us.

Just like having low self-esteem, being very self-confident and self-assured may only be a product of personal pride and arrogance.

Certainly having a dysfunctional family background can contribute to these things. However the bible says "visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children"[21] it does not say we are condemned to repeat the same sins done to us.

Forgiveness works.

The need to criticize others and even ourselves is judging, not forgiving. Also forgiveness is not absolution it is only forgiving from our personal position as a victim or perpetrator of unrighteousness and letting God judge. Any judgment or condemnation of ourselves or others is simply us playing the roll of God which takes us all back to the original sin.[22]

Fear is a symptom of a lack of faith and faith is gift. Faith, probity and allegiance are similar terms. Seeking the kingdom of God and his righteousness is about doing something to return to your Father's house where your first allegiance should lie. If you want to live in your Father's house you must seek to serve your Father.

We often realize our lack of faith and forgiveness and our selfish nature. Rather than repenting and changing our thinking and ways, we play the role of the devout martyr, wearing our proverbial sackcloth, donning the garb of the ascetic, fasting and denying natural relationships and joy, even sabotaging the very relationships we claim to seek.

We are continuously pulled back to commune and fellowship as if we need that connection to recharge our batteries. That is sure evidence we are not connecting with God because we are constantly needing others to renew our comfort level. If we are not sincerely seeking to connect with God on His terms it is us that is blocking that connection of faith. That is usually because we will not repent.

Backwards thinking

People are hardwired to think a certain way from youth. Repenting is like learning to ride a backwards bike. A question that arises when we look at Modern Christians is did you learn to ride a righteous bike of Christ or a backwards bike of the World?

People like to believe that their "hard wired" way of doing things is already "The Way", whether you are talking religion or politics.

People learn to think a certain way as children. Their way of thinking is really "hard" wired into their Mind from their youth. The work it takes to "unlearn" and "relearn" to think a different way, is like riding a backwards bike, it takes a long time.

In the video the man mentioned for him it took eight months, while for his young son it only took two weeks or so. The Israelites spent forty years in the desert learning to think and act a different way than they did when they lived in Egypt.

This is where the seeking of the kingdom and the striving spoken of by Christ is important. The human desire for "easy" and "quick" to feel justified already, and a lack of humility keeps the people "hard wired".

They may also want to get other people to learn to ride "their own bike" like they ride theirs. Because they want to believe that their "bike" is "God's bike", and that they are right in what they are doing. They will oppose anyone who seeks to do things a different way, and if deep down they know they are doing it wrong they may refuse to admit it because of pride and arrogance, so they are likely going to want to force people to do it their way.

We have been told since we were children and are being told today that it is okay to desire benefits at the expense of our neighbor. This of course is coveting our neighbor's goods which is against the law of God written down by Moses and is published above the door of the supreme Court.

Yet, everyone is coveting their neighbor's goods who desires benefits from men who call themselves Benefactors but have the benefactors force their neighbors to contribute to their own Welfare, as well as their free public schools and even their Social Security. We have been taught and have learned to do things opposite of what Christ and the early Church were doing and that is now the only way we know or even think that we can care for the needy of society.

There is no Daily ministration done by the Church today. The Church has become a social institution where visiting the sick is just chatting with them or maybe driving them to the doctor paid for by those Benefactors who exercise authority. There is no Pure Religion in the Modern Churches today but only a supposed semblance of one. Many want to imagine that they do not have to daily give up their life for others because Christ did it all for us. The truth is if Christ is within us we will be like Christ and feed His sheep and not seek the Free Bread and circuses of the Fathers of the earth. Remember Christ means anointing and anointing refers to the presence of the Holy Spirit which is the Spirit of Christ.

Repenting is about thinking another way and doing things according to The Way of Christ.

Repenting and seeking the kingdom is like riding a backwards bike or learning to ride the righteous bike of Christ after learning to ride the backwards bike of the World.

We are actually trained to think in covetous ways counter to the ways of the Kingdom of God and repenting is not only learning to think kingdom aspects while unlearning what we have already accepted as true.

This is why Humility is so important in Kingdom thinking.

In this life we are told to accumulate and become wealthy and secure for ourselves. But what did Christ say and think?

"Hereby perceive we the love [of God], because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down [our] lives for the brethren. 17 But whoso hath this world’s good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him? 18 My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth. 19 And hereby we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before him." 1 John 3:16

Aid Addicts

We have become Aid Addicts for government give-a-way programs at the expense of future generations. We need or think we need the assistance of the public, self-proclaimed Benefactors of the World and those Fathers of the earth. As we continue with an appetite for benefits and the habit of receiving them by way of a rule of force we grow accustomed to feeding at the expense of others and to depend for our livelihood on the property of others we institute the rule of violence and degenerate again into perfect savages. Polybius explained that process more than a century before John the Baptist and Jesus the Christ. All the Prophets and the apostles had warned for centuries. The early Christian was persecuted for refusing to sign up for the Corban of the Pharisees or the free bread of the welfare state that was provided through the Imperial Cult of Rome. Repentance is thinking differently than the modern Christian who delight in the dainties of FDR and the welfare modern state. Christ directed us to seek the Kingdom of God at hand and the righteousness of God which was and is reverse of such unrighteous covetous practices and commanded his called out disciples to make the people sit down in charity, love and sacrifice.

Unless we become dedicated doers of His word with our whole hearts there will be little hope. There are steps that you can take within congregations of the people that will help all within a larger networking community in order to come closer to the ways of the kingdom and draw us nearer to Christ and His Holy Spirit.

There is laid out in "Aid Addicts" the twelve-step plan. In order to expose and dispel the strong delusion offered by the modern Church we share hundreds of other pages, many articles and audio files to help you in this process of repenting.

Long distant congregations

We generally do not know what we are to repent of but it is simple. We are still trying to play a god, seeking to control others, rather than serve god by seeking the kingdom of God and His righteousness.

The Kingdom of God is where God rules us so that we seek to come together not to get something from someone else but to serve like Christ did. We gather to give and forgive not to get recharged or a sense of fellowship and comradery.[23] That is one reason long distant congregations are a place to start.

In long distant congregations we are not as easily tempted by the emotional dependence. Like a field of grain or garden the seeds are scattered to give each plant room to grow in the light of day.

Financial Dependence

While in many cults, members may live with other members in a group living environment and become financially dependent upon the group, kingdom living encourages financial independence. Should a cult member decide to leave the group, it becomes physically difficult or even impossible to sustain oneself outside of that dependency that has been cultivated in the individual.

Winston Churchill wrote that: “Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery.” but isolated independence is the road to poverty of the spirit because of the need for charitable practices which includes sacrifice.

Socialism is the religion you get when you have no Pure Religion.

Society, free or bond, with its product of virtue or vice determines the destiny of the people, for the power and precepts will be born first in their hearts and in their minds.

Reasons to congregate

There are many reasons to congregate together and those reasons are an expression of intent. Intent is the seed of all action in your life and determines the fruit of your life. Intent is the spirit that moves us.

Your reasons for congregating should be the purposes of Christ.

You should gather:

  • To save others[24]
  • To serve others[25]
  • To forgive others[26]
  • To love God and one another[27]
  • To bear witness to the truth.[28]
  • To bring sight to the blind[29]

Intent is a child of the heart and action is the offspring of the soul. According to Paulo Coelho “There is always a gap between intention and action..” and the distance between the two is the inverse measure of your sincerity.

Reasons you should not come together:

  • Save your self
  • Make life easier for you
  • Feel good or even just feel better
  • Look good or better or righteous
  • Lord it over others as if you are right and they are wrong

Without love and humility there can be no liberty.

Spiritual Liberty

Most of what we see or experience of our spirit is perceived through or mind and our feelings. Spirit giveth life.[30] But if you want life more abundant you must lay down your life.[31] Most of what draws us to the Holy Spirit is Sacrifice.

The World and False religion has delivered us into bondage through our Covetous Practices and Sloth. Your bondage to the systems of the world, your surety for debt which makes you merchandise, are merely a symptom of your spiritual bondage.

The Network of the Kingdom of God allows us to begin a life of Charitable Practices which will set us free rather than those Covetous Practices that have made us Merchandise and Cursed Children.

By forming Congregations of Record you may begin to reverse the process that brought you into Bondage in Spirit and Truth. By the ministers you choose gathering in true Congregations of Ministers and continuing this pattern of service with dedication a living network of 10's, 100's, 1000's may continue to form drawing the Holy Spirit and preparing a place for that spirit in each of us.

That is seeking the Kingdom of God and His righteousness.

To leave out or leave off elements of the truth or carve off inconvenient facts which are a part of the truth is the way and spirit of making graven image and to cling to that image when confronted with the truth is idolatry.

For instance in the webpage How is a License against God’s Will? by Richard Anthony:

He asks "Man is constantly telling you that you must identify yourself. Well, please show me from scripture where it says that you must carry papers with you at all times and submit to man whatever he wants. God defines what is good and evil; please show me in the Word of God where it says it is evil to do an act without a license from the government (i.e. such as the act of marriage, fishing, or driving). God does not say this is evil."

I can show you both very easily but you have to be willing to see.

First we will deal with the second enquirery:

There is Ex 20:15 Thou shalt not steal.

You cannot use my bike without asking.

If you want to use it I may say you can use it under certain conditions.

Once you know the conditions you must use it only by those conditions or you are stealing the use of a thing that is not yours to use.

My permission is license [Permission to do what would be unlawful to do without permission] and it would be unlawful to use my bike without my permission or knowing the rules I applied to my bike you can only use it in accordance to those rules.

That is biblical and if Caesar holds the beneficial interest to something you must ask permission to use it.

We have already shown how the Caesars of the world hold a right to the beneficial interest of almost everything.

Now you can turn a blind eye to the truth and say you do not have to give to Caesar what is Caesars, but that would not be the opinion of Christ.

Now as to papers and ID.

The Church does not require you to have ID. But it is right that you identify yourself to people seeking the evil doers of the world so that they know you are not one of them.

So how do you do that?

Personal testimony?

You mean you tell them who you are.

But what if you are a liar. Most bad guys are liars. Does personal testimony alone establish biblically who you are?

Is that what we even see Christ depending on or on the testimony of the people who hailed him highest son of David.

Self testimony is not what we see establishing things in the Bible especially in matters of law.

  • "This [is] the third [time] I am coming to you. In the mouth of two or three witnesses shall every word be established." 2 Corinthians 13:1

You can also see this principle in Deuteronomy 19:15, Matthew 18:16 as well as tradition and custom for centuries.

This is all very simple but it may not be what people want to hear.

But it may be what they need to hear.

The Church produced ID for its ministers almost 2000 years ago. There were letters of testimony called epistles that introduced ministers to congregations. And there was forms of ID that allowed them to travel unmolested in the Roman Empire which was called Logos in the Justinian Codes.

“The right of asylum might also be personal, that is to say, not connected with a place, but with a person. In this connection we find the so-called logos which was a letter or statement in writing granting the bearer exemption from molestation by public authorities. At first such letter or statement was probably granted to a person who had taken refuge in a sanctuary, but who wanted to go home or to some other place for the purpose of attending to some necessary matters.” [32]

This ID was issued by the Church which was a Network of men and women who came to serve the people in the name of Christ. The Justinian recognized that witness.

I see people all the time saying that they are part of the kingdom or have the answer but they are often caught chiseling away a part of the messages and directives of Christ.

I know the webpages you shared and the people who wrote them. I know and traveled with Randy, John, and Joseph... but where are they now... what are they offering... what are they missing??? Know those pages fall far short and have led many astray because of what they are missing...

Seeking the kingdom of God and His righteousness with your whole heart, mind and soul is no small thing. You have to see the big picture and walk alone together in a constant state of forgiveness and giving.

Is there anyone you have not forgiven?

Is there anyone you do not live to love and to sacrifice for?

Are those who you should care for as father, mother, brother son, daughter or sister that you have neglected, failed to forgive, care for or love...[33]

How can you find the kingdom before you have made peace in your own souls?

We share a lot of information on our websites for "free" but most of we are doing is not on there or on the email groups.

There is enough information there but many miss it because it is between the lines and in the footnotes... and because they want to think the image in their mind is complete.

The real journey is spiritual and is for those who gather in the name of and character of Christ which is in order to serve one another and not to merely create an image of the kingdom of God that falls far short of what the early Church was doing.

  7. Athens, under the leadership of Pericles, was driven to her golden goddess, their reserve fund, and compelled to melt it down and coin it into money Peloponnesian Wars. They eventually minted plated bronze tetradrachms in Athens during the hard times which followed the Athenian collapse, viz. from B.C. 406-393. “In 393 the wretched bronze money of necessity was cried down, the Town Crier being sent round to proclaim that silver was once more to be the only legal tender:” ARIST. Eccl. 819.
Aerarium (from Lat. aes, in its derived sense of ``money) the name (in full, aerarium stabulum, treasure-house) given in ancient Rome to the public treasury, and in a secondary sense to the public finances. The treasury contained the moneys and accounts of the state, and also the standards of the legions; the public laws engraved on brass, the decrees of the senate and other papers and registers of importance. These public treasures were deposited in the temple of Saturn, on the eastern slope of the Capitoline hill... In addition to the common treasury, supported by the general taxes and charged with the ordinary expenditure, there was a special reserve fund, also in the temple of Saturn, the aerarium sanctum (or sanctius), probably originally consisting of the spoils of war, afterwards maintained chiefly by a 5% tax... The later emperors had a separate aerarium privatum, containing the moneys allotted for their own use, distinct from the fiscus, which they administered in the interests of the empire.
