* The modern word edification means "the instruction or improvement of a person morally or intellectually." but in the Bible we see forms of the word oikodome translated edify[1] We see the same word as a verb oikodomeo to build (up from the foundation), which for the Church is Christ, and as a metaphor for to found, establish or to promote growth in wisdom and piety.
The word piety only appears once in the Bible and it is from eusebeo "to act piously or reverently".
Questions
* (these are directed to a listener)

Ponder it; what do you think are three steps which form a free Church?

*What comes to your mind with the words, "first century Church"? How do you picture it?
* Why or why not consider "early Church"? Does modern church have any "Aces" which trump early Church patterns?
:
*Is "early Church" and "free Church" the same thing?
*

What character and actions are found in the individuals who aspire to be active in congregation with a free Church?

Both John the baptizer and Jesus urged the people to repent. It seems so simple. Illusions make things appear different than the reality, however. A personally-preferred viewpoint is rarely thought to be an illusion. What does it take to tear down illusions? A Pharisee hearing it might have thought repentance is so simple. A deluded Pharisee needed to repent in a way that he could not imagine. How, then, could he repent? Some of Pharisees really did repent, but what caused it? How did they get free from the traditions of the elders? Those who did so became free souls under God.

Elements which succor His Church

A free church and free souls are learning to walk hand-in-hand; maintaining free souls under God is a work of diligence in the community.

Psa 47:1 "O clap your hands, all ye people; shout unto God with the voice of triumph." Clap hands seems to indicate the joining of hands in order to work together; nothing in the Hebrew word meanings indicates applause.

Psa 47:9 The princes of the people are gathered together, even the people of the God of Abraham: for the shields of the earth belong unto God: he is greatly exalted.

The 'shields' include the first-born, and 'shields' of the Old Testament included priests and Levites. Later, 'shields' included deacons and apostles of Christ. By a righteous way, doing the Father's will, 'Shields' protect what God indicates is needing protection.
