The Bible tells us in Revelation 12:9  that the  whole world would be in danger of being deceived. In Matthew 24:24 we are told that "false Christs, and false prophets" would arise deceiving almost everyone with "great signs and wonders". Their deception would be so great that they would even deceive the "very elect" if it ere possible. In Matthew 24:5  and Mark 13:6 and Luke 21:8 we are told that  many shall come in  name of Christ but they are not of Him who was the Christ, the Anointed. In Matthew 7:22 Jesus says that "Many will say" they believe in the Lord Jesus and claim to prophesy in His name and do many wonderful works but Jesus will claim that He  never knew them and call them the workers of iniquity.
