But again Paul is arguing against those who unmoore the spiritual meaning of the law and reduce laws concerning things like, as an example, the Sabbath, reducing it to a day rather than a way, or altars as the ancient system of freewill offerings and Corban being reduced to a system of modern social welfare by taxation rather than tithes. Modern Christians, like the author of these false claims -- who does not know Christ -- agree to have things reduced and unmoored in this manner.
