The codex measures approximately 7.5 x 10 x 5 inches and consists of 255 leaves of parchment, a specially treated lambskin, between olive-wood covers.

Khabouris Codex which some date to 165 CE is most likely much more recent..

There is a papyrus manuscript in Greek from before 200 AD.

James Trimm dates it at about 1200 AD and Carbon 14 testing does the same, no earlier that 1000AD.

I am not sure why Trimm dates it when he does. He came to his conclusions before the Carbon 14 which were repeated numerous times. I do not have a lot of faith in Carbon 14 but just examining the style and format I do not think it is earlier that 700AD or else it was way ahead of its time. I think Trim is correct in his date.

I would trust the AENT translation more if it was done only by Aramaic scholars but boast that they used over 100 biblical scholars who undoubtedly brought their own preconceived notions.

John Wesley Etheridge , a Methodist scholar translates the Khabouris Codex XXIII . Romans 13:1 "LET every soul to the powers of dominion be subject. For, there is no power that is not from Aloha, and the powers that be, of, Aloha are they instituted. "
