Jesus makes many references to seeking, striving, persevering and enduring in order to be saved. People like to think they are saved by what they say or think about God. Religion is is not what you think but what you do. We are told over and over that we are to be Keeping the commandments.
The preacher who tells you otherwise is not of the Holy Spirit nor is he preaching the Gospel of the Kingdom or the Doctrines of Jesus. If we do not keep the Commandments our faith is dead, unreal, a strong delusion, false faith and a lie.
We are told to pick up your cross and plough in hope[1] and not take our hand from that plow because if you do you are not fit for the kingdom of God.[2]
There can be no doubt that the Gospel preached by Christ requires that you be steadfast and endure [3] in your seeking the kingdom of God, but many fall away from loving God and loving their neighbor as themselves. We must guard against impatience and pride, instead walking in forgiveness and humility.
