Nethinim

Nethinim[1] is the name given to what is said to be the hereditary temple servants meaning "those set apart", to assist the work of the sanctuary for the Levites who were responsible for the social safety net of God's intentional community. For societies to remain free and preserve the way of liberty the social bonds of the people needed to be nurtured to to keep Israel healthy.

Nethinim[1] is from the word nathan[2] נָתַן‎ defined "to give, put, set". Listen to Exodus 7 study to find out more about the NunTavNun audio podcast from 20230107.

Nethinim (נְתִינִים‎) is from the Canaanite verb Netinim meaning to give. Nethinim as we see in the King James is one of those transliterated words, appearing also as Nathinites or Nathineans, rather than being translated.

Nethinim (נְתִינִים‎) was descriptive term that became the name given to assistants in ancient Jerusalem. These temple assistance were assisting the Levites who were meant to be the stones of the altars of Moses and Abraham and eventually the living stones of the living temple of God.

The term was applied originally in the Book of Joshua but we commonly see in the Book of Ezra, and equated with the "Servants of Solomon" and may have descended from non-Israelites.

There were Jews who made endless geneologies[3] important and devised at least 10 genealogical classes.[4]

The real genealogy[5] that should concern us is about the faith of Abraham which is the genealogy of the spirit as children born again of God.
