If George Floyd was white you would not even know he was dead. There was "No life-threatening injuries identified" according to the autopsy. So why did he die? At least "The autopsy revealed no physical findings that support a diagnosis of traumatic asphyxia or strangulation. Mr. Floyd had underlying health conditions including coronary artery disease and hypertensive heart disease...." Why does everyone think this arrest was based on race.
I have not been able to get a copy of the report from the doctors hired by the attorneys. They will be presented in court. There will be photos and testimony and cross examinations. All these riots have been pushed by an irresponsible media spinning what appears like a false narrative for a political or just bias reasons causing death and destruction.
I am suggesting there is no evidence that there should be a protest and certainly no evidence for riots, murder, and destruction.
So far I have seen no evidence that this had anything to do with race.
overdose deaths
Overdose deaths from Fentanyl has occurred with 3 ng/mL blood with a mean of 9 ng/mL in the blood. Floyd had blood level of Fentanyl of 11 ng/mL Plus other drugs. Which also appears to be a major contributor in the case with Tony Timba. He also had Atherosclerosis which is a hardening and narrowing of your arteries which is the usual cause of heart attacks, strokes, and cardiovascular disease. You might not have symptoms until you have a heart attack or stroke. Symptoms: Shortness of breath.
Floyd may have died from self administered drugs and a bad heart. There is no reason to believe that both men would be alive if they did not take those drugs. None of them died from injuries sustain by police officers. In both cases the police called for an ambulance and tried to safely restrain people who had drugged themselves senseless until they could get them on a gurney and transport them. No one tried to kill them except themselves.
justifiable homicide
n. a killing without evil or criminal intent, for which there can be no blame, such as self-defense to protect oneself or to protect another, or the shooting by a law enforcement officer in fulfilling his/her duties. This is not to be confused with a crime of passion or claim of diminished capacity which refer to defenses aimed at reducing the penalty or degree of crime.
Autopsy vs Protests
Brian Considine thinks "An autopsy can tell you nothing about whether or not there should be protests or riots."
But an Autopsy or no I can tell you that there should not be riots.
As to protests why are there protests? There is no evidence of racism that I have seen. There is no reason to believe that the courts and the DA are not dealing with the matter and eventually will sort out the truth.
The only thing the protests are doing is giving cover for the riots and lawlessness and more crime often against the very blacks and communities in which they live. The protests coupled with the riots is only going to make life more difficult for people and feed racism. Larry Elder and facts about racism in America seem to be ignored so much these days. https://www.prageru.com/video/is-america-racist/
But Brian Considine thinks that there is "Unequal policing that does not serve the community."
There is little or no evidence of unequal policing.
Did he even listen to the facts presented in the video by Larry Elder?
If people want to protest they should protest the riots. The riots are killing and hurting far more people. How many people were killed in one week in places like Chicago.
How many cops are going to even want to answer calls in black neighborhoods after this?
How many will want to arrest black suspects who might die in custody?
The very thing Eric was concerned about in his neighborhood with de-funding is already set in motion for the black community by human nature.
What does the autopsy show?
The autopsy shows there was no trauma to the head and neck and no life threatening injuries to the suspect. That matters. He fought with 4 police officers refusing to get in the patrol car without bruising or injuring him in the neck and head. He was held by the restraining officer for 8 minutes without bruising or injuring him in the neck and head while they waited for the ambulance to transport him on a gurney.
The autopsy gives good evidence that had he not had a bad heart and not taken drugs he would have detoxed in a jail cell or the hospital.
Could the cop have let him roll over on his side when he indicated he was shor of breath? Yes.
Was it racism or was it just poor judgement?
Like I said Doctors kill a hundred thousand people a year under a lot less dangerous conditions and not on the side of the road with a 6 foot 4 bouncer who had just fought with them refusing to get in a patrol car. Neither the cops nor Floyd knew that his shortness of breath was do to his heart disease. They thought he was okay and they would load him in the ambulance in a few minutes and go back to work.

Veto-proof majority of Minneapolis City Council vows to disband police department
- Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey was berated and told to "go home" at a protest on Saturday after refusing to commit to defunding the police department.
- Council members said on Sunday that they had not yet fleshed out specific plans for what the new public safety system will look like, but said they would commit to working with the community and draw on past studies and policing reforms around the world for guidance, the New York Times reports.
“We’re here because we hear you. We are here today because George Floyd was killed by the Minneapolis Police. We are here because here in Minneapolis and in cities across the United States it is clear that our existing system of policing and public safety is not keeping our communities safe. Our efforts at incremental reform have failed. Period.”
— Minneapolis City Council President Lisa Bender
The stunning announcement was made Sunday, with nine out of thirteen members coming out in support of the idea, which gives them a majority that can't be vetoed by Mayor Frey.
So, what does it mean exactly? Welp, the council members admit it won't be an immediate change -- but make no mistake, they say when the dust settles, Minneapolis will not have a traditional police department.
The alternative, according to them, is community-based safety ... a term they've yet to fully explain.

Eric Weinstein's point is well taken. But I do not think we should be angry about what happened in the past. We should only look at it so that we do not make the same mistake in the present.
I am not angry although it has been an effort not to be angry at the media and the people who want to believe their bias or incompetence as if it is the truth. If Floyd was white we would not know his name.
I have found no evidence evidence that Derek Chauvin was racially motivated. I am not even going to call the events a murder until I see a real preponderance of evidence that it was. Anything less is the spirit of the "lynching mob". We do not need more anger but the spirit of Atticus Finch.
I do not think they will long de-fund the police because they raise to much revenue because in many cities their original purpose has been hijacked.
As I have said I arrested black people on the same streets where George Floyd died while in police custody. At one instance I was surrounded by a mob of black people and all the white people disappeared. No one was hurt except the victim who was bloodied and beaten by the people I arrested. In the end no one pressed charges because "they did not want any trouble."
That ended my desire to pursue law enforcement as a career. People did not care enough about justice. The problem in America is the lack of hue and cry for our neighbor. What I see in the riots and even many of the protestors and certainly much of the media is a "lynching mob" spirit.
Romans 10:12 "For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek (or Black and White): for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him."
I do not have "Black" brothers and sisters. I just have brothers and sisters in righteousness.
Galatians 3:28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.
Colossians 3:11 Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all.
