There has always been a debate about the Federal Reserve from both an economic and political point of view. The cost of borrowing from a central bank will probably far out way the benefits. Opposition has been decried as protectionism but then the purpose of government is to protect the people in general and a handful of financiers at the expense of small producers, businesses, farmers and consumers.
This could make the economy dependent on centralized control which would or at least could destabilize the economy through speculation and inflation.
This created even further controversy over who would select the decision-makers in charge of the Federal Reserve and the credit for a growing economy would only postpone economic depressions.
The bill shifted power away from the people...
Central banking systems seldom lasted for more than 25 years.
- “When the entirety of your earnings are exhausted on food and shelter, your labors are no longer viewed as an opportunity for economic advancement, but rather as an act of self-preservation. In the real world, that’s called slavery.” Unknown
Long before your earnings are exhausted you will go into debt, you farm out your children to strangers, because both spouses will have to work away from the home and the family will begin the process of disintegration.
- Titus 1:15-16 "Unto the pure all things [are] pure: but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving [is] nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience is defiled. They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate."
The word defiled is the Greek word miaino [μιαίνω me-ah’-ee-no]which actually means "to dye with another colour, to stain". What has happened is that some how our minds have accepted an idea that is simply not true. Our thinking has been colored.
Paul had just been warning about "Not giving heed to Jewish fables, and commandments of men, that turn from the truth." Titus 1:14
Those Jewish fables included many of the incorrect ideas of the Pharisees that thought they were following Moses and were actually doing the opposite of what Moses said to do.
The same could be said of many Modern Christians today.
Some want to questions whether Congress has the Constitutional power to delegate its power to coin money or issue paper money, whether the structure of the federal reserve is transparent enough, whether the Federal Reserve is a public Cartel of private banks established to protect powerful financial interests, low but steady increases in inflation, high government deficits, and whether the Federal Reserve's actions increased the severity of the Great Depression in the 1930s.
Because most people decide to go to public school at the expense of their neighbors and have not heard the whole Gospel of Christ nor what he told his followers to do they did not know or if they did they did not understand what Thomas Jefferson prophesied when he said:
- “The central bank is an institution of the most deadly hostility existing against the Principles and form of our Constitution. I am an Enemy to all banks discounting bills or notes for anything but Coin. If the American People allow private banks to control the issuance of their currency, first by inflation and then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around them will deprive the People of all their Property until their Children will wake up homeless on the continent their Fathers conquered.”
On December 23, 1913 Congress passed "The Federal Reserve Act" which "created a system of private and public entities" which gave the federal government control to regulate inflation, even though the government control over such powers would eventually lead to decisions that were politically popular and economically devastating." The problem presently seems so enormous that people think there is nothing that they can do. I am not suggesting that the Fed is the problem. It is the symptom which creates a condition.
The problem is because most people had an attitude that allowed them to decide to go to public school at the expense of their neighbors and not actually hear the whole Gospel of Christ nor understand what He told his followers from the beginning and what that meant and how it would alter the way you relate to one another as a society.
Since you cannot change the past and have little effect on the future the only thing that can be done will be done in the present. I encourage you to rethink the first message of Christ in the context of History as an actual direct command and not a mere suggestion.
Matthew 4:17 "From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, 'Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.'"
These Network groups are here to help you repent.
The reason for the evil in the world is because we actually do not love our neighbor as much as we love ourselves. This must change before the world will change. This is where we need to repent, change our ways. Coming together in congregations of record not for what we can get out of it but for what we can bring to others is the first step in repentance.
