Glory
John 17:1 ¶ These words[1] spake Jesus,[2] and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify[3] thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify[3] thee:
The word Doxazo first means to think, as to be of an opinion.
That opinion often includes a sense of praise or even celebrate.
It is translated as to glorify or to honour.
In this verse 1 the words (tauta, ταuτα) [1] spake Jesus about the Logos, which is the word which means the right reason of Christ and the Father of creation and Natural Law.
To go against that right reason or right opinion of the cŕeator will bring about natural consequences of the universal cause and effect or wrath of God. The world, eternal life, and ownership by Him and by God is determined by Natural Law and include a mutual judgment[4] and honoring (δοξάζω,) [3].

V2 Jesus was given "power" which is the power of choice[5] over all flesh.
John 17:4 I have glorified[3] thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do. John 17:5 And now, O Father, glorify[3] thou me with thine own self with the glory[6] which I had with thee before the world was.
Jesus states that he has "doxazo" the Father in heaven upon the earth. I have glorified[3] thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do. Then there is a request that the same Father to reciprocate by restoring the glorify[3] thou me with thine own self with the glory doxa[6] which I had with thee before the world was.
The American King James Version makes the English easier to follow: "And now, O Father, glorify you me with your own self with the glory which I had with you before the world was." At least two words should be understood. What does it mean to glorify? And what world was created?
John 17:22 And the glory[6] which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one:
V22 What is this word glory?[6] Doxa is an opinion, a view, a judgment. It is from the verb dokeo[7] to think. Doxazo[3] is another verb meaning to think or have an opinion.

- Doxa is a Greek word meaning common belief or popular opinion. Used by the Greek rhetoricians as a tool for the formation of argument by using common opinions, the doxa was often manipulated by sophists to persuade the people. The word doxa picked up a new meaning between the 3rd and 1st centuries BC when the Septuagint translated the Hebrew word for "glory" (כבוד, kavod) as doxa.
