Comments
The Book of Leviticus is about those "He called" to become the Church in the wilderness and their instructions concerning the seeking of the kingdom of God and the way of the righteousness of God for the the exercise of Pure Religion for the people in free assemblies and the priests in a network of Levites. The Called out of Christ would also institute a similar system of Lively Stones of a Living Altar through a daily ministration of fervent charity to provide all care for early Christians who would not eat at the tables of the social welfare system operated through the temples of Rome and the governments of the world because David, Paul, Peter warned that those dainties were a not only the wages of unrighteousness of a Corban that made the word of God to none effect but were also a snare and a trap that was capable of entangling the masses as captives and merchandise through covetous practices again in the bondage of Egypt. They knew that the free bread of those systems of the word were provided by men who called themselves benefactors but exercise authority one over the other.^[1]

V4 can literally be translated "He shall not be defiled(טָמֵא)^[2], a lord (husband)(בַּעַל‎ baal)^[3] among his people." That defilement can mean with a form of idolatry.
Commentaries suggest that The defilement caused by touching a dead body(לְנֶ֥פֶשׁ)^[4] among his people which lasted for seven days and rituals were required to cleanse the priest. The word we see in the text is לְנֶ֥פֶשׁ (lenefesh) which first appears in Genesis 2:7 translated being or soul^[2] We can also see it in Numbers 35:31, Lamentations 3:25

6 They shall be holy^[5] unto their God, and not profane(חָלָל‎)‎^[6] the name of their God: for the offerings(אִשָּׁה)^[7] of the LORD made by fire(אִשָּׁה),^[7] and the bread of their God, they do offer(מַקְרִיבִ֖ם)^[8] : therefore they shall be holy(קָדוֹשׁ)‎ qadowsh.^[9] 7 They shall not take a wife(אִשָּׁה)^[10] that is a whore,(זָנָה)‎^[11] or profane(חָלָל‎)‎^[12]; neither shall they take a woman(אִשָּׁה)^[10] put away from her husband: for he is holy unto his God.

8 Thou shalt sanctify him therefore; for he offereth the bread of thy God: he shall be holy unto thee: for I the LORD, which sanctify you, am holy.

9 And the daughter of any priest, if she profane herself by playing the whore, she profaneth her father: she shall be burnt with fire.

10 And he that is the high priest among his brethren, upon whose head the anointing oil was poured, and that is consecrated to put on the garments, shall not uncover his head, nor rend his clothes;

11 Neither shall he go in to any dead body, nor defile himself for his father, or for his mother;

12 Neither shall he go out of the sanctuary, nor profane the sanctuary of his God; for the crown of the anointing oil of his God is upon him: I am the LORD.

13 And he shall take a wife in her virginity.

14 A widow, or a divorced woman, or profane, or an harlot, these shall he not take: but he shall take a virgin of his own people to wife.

15 Neither shall he profane his seed among his people: for I the LORD do sanctify him.

16 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

17 Speak unto Aaron, saying, Whosoever he be of thy seed in their generations that hath any blemish, let him not approach to offer the bread of his God.

18 For whatsoever man he be that hath a blemish, he shall not approach: a blind man, or a lame, or he that hath a flat nose, or any thing superfluous,

19 Or a man that is brokenfooted, or brokenhanded,

20 Or crookbackt, or a dwarf, or that hath a blemish in his eye, or be scurvy, or scabbed, or hath his stones broken;

21 No man that hath a blemish of the seed of Aaron the priest shall come nigh to offer the offerings of the LORD made by fire: he hath a blemish; he shall not come nigh to offer the bread of his God.

22 He shall eat the bread of his God, both of the most holy, and of the holy.

23 Only he shall not go in unto the vail, nor come nigh unto the altar, because he hath a blemish; that he profane not my sanctuaries: for I the LORD do sanctify them.

where the word ethnan (0868) containing the root אֶתְנַ AlefTavNun is seen as לְאֶתְנַנָּ֑ה translated to her hire

In Hosea 9:1 we see zā·nî·ṯā ZayinNunYodTav זָנִ֖יתָ Translated in

NAS: "like the nations! For you have played the harlot, forsaking"

KJV: "as [other] people: for thou hast gone a whoring from thy God,"

We see לִזְנ֖וֹת LamedZayinNunVavTav liz·nō·wṯ in Leviticus 20:5-6 and Leviticus 21:9 along with Numbers 25:1 and Deuteronomy 22:21. We see lə·haz·nō·w·ṯāh לְהַזְנוֹתָ֑הּ LamedHeyZayinNunVavTavHey in Leviticus 19:29
