Ecclesiastes 11

Jesus was called teacher. Abraham, Moses, and Jesus were all teaching the people The Way of God and His righteousness. Jesus came to take the kingdom from those who were teaching something different from Moses and appointed it to the Apostles so that they would bear fruit and the world might be saved through repentance.

Casting bread is about charity. Upon the waters is about charity out side your immediate local community or congregation which is a major them of Acts which provided for the greater Christian community through fervent charity during a series of dearths that swept the Roman empire and the persecution of Christians.
V2 "for thou knowest not what evil shall be upon the earth." Good and bad hings can happen has been touched on several times in Ecclesiastes 8:14-17; Ecclesiastes 9:2-11.
In Acts 6:3 we see Peter appointing Seven men who were chosen not to wait on "tables" but to manage the distribution of funds in a social safety net of pure religion in the case of national emergencies ordearths just like in Ecclesiastes 11. Stephen, like Christ, was killed because of the greed of the Pharisees and their covetous practices.
V3-4 If you are lead by what the world then you may be afraid to do anything
V5 You can only know the works of God if you know the the way of the spirit.
V6 "sow thy seed,^[1] and ... withhold not^[2] thine hand"^[3]
V-7-8 Enjoy the light but remember the darkness for there vanity is inevitable.
V-9 The end of 8 may be introducing V9 You will not live forever so walk in the way for judgement will come.
V10 Remove sorrow^[4] is remove "anger and vexation" and put away evil.^[5] This removing of anger is consistent with Ecclesiastes 7:9 which is part of what Christ said in Matthew 5.^[6]

1 ¶ Cast thy bread upon the waters: for thou shalt find it after many days.

Give a portion to seven

2 Give a portion to seven, and also to eight; for thou knowest not what evil shall be upon the earth.

3 If the clouds be full of rain, they empty themselves upon the earth: and if the tree fall toward the south, or toward the north, in the place where the tree falleth, there it shall be.

4 He that observeth the wind shall not sow; and he that regardeth the clouds shall not reap.

5 As thou knowest not what is the way of the spirit, nor how the bones do grow in the womb of her that is with child: even so thou knowest not the works of God who maketh all.

6 In the morning sow thy seed, and in the evening withhold not thine hand: for thou knowest not whether shall prosper, either this or that, or whether they both shall be alike good.

7 Truly the light is sweet, and a pleasant thing it is for the eyes to behold the sun:

Remember the darkness

8 But if a man live many years, and rejoice in them all; yet let him remember the days of darkness; for they shall be many. All that cometh is vanity.

9 Rejoice, O young man, in thy youth; and let thy heart cheer thee in the days of thy youth, and walk in the ways of thine heart, and in the sight of thine eyes: but know thou, that for all these things God will bring thee into judgment.

10 Therefore remove sorrow from thy heart, and put away evil from thy flesh: for childhood and youth are vanity.
