They will be thrust out after this last event which will include the Passover and the shared sacrifice of the lamb or they will face the consequences. This was a choice like the choice given in the garden between the two trees. That sacrifice is consumed by people gathering in homes.
V2 The word borrow is wəyiš’ălū (VavYodShinAlefLamedVav(וְיִשְׁאֲל֞וּ)) from the word Shaal[1] (ShinAlefLamed(שָׁאַל)) meaning ask but in Exodus 3:22 we saw wəšā’ălāh (VavShinAlefLamedHey(וְשָׁאֲלָ֨ה)).
V3 "The LORD gave" is the same form of word nathan (NunTavNun(נָתַן)) [2] meaning gave which we saw in Exodus 2:21 appearing in the text as wayyittên (VavYodTavVav(וַיִּתֵּ֧ן)).
V5 The firstborn of every class held positions of privilege in Egyptian society.
The same events we mentioned in Chapter 7 that took place when gasses erupting through Lake Nyos at Cameroon in Africa in 1986 turned water red and eventually caused boils on the skin of survivors also killed 1,700 people and livestock in that low valley surrounded by hills where the carbon dioxide was trapped during the night when it was first released. It is possible that in the low Egyptian valley a large cloud of carbon dioxide was released from the earth because of same earthquakes and trimmers associated with the events of the Santorini Volcano eruption. Those gasses could move like an invisible cloud clinging to the ground and might have caused the death of everything that slept in low beds or on the floor next to their father's beds that night. Many people slept on rooftops or in the case of the Israelites they did not sleep but stayed up eating behind sealed doors. Such a cloud of invisible carbon dioxide may have asphyxiated the first born which enjoyed by custom the privileged those sleeping places and position. A guard standing next to him under the right conditions may go unharmed seeing nothing. The same could be true of prized animals separated from the heard, fed separately, and slept in dug out stables.
V7 There is a "difference between the Egyptians and Israel." Yoke of bondage and the perfect law of liberty.
8V "All" Pharaoh's "servants[3] shall come down and ... bow down"
V8The phrase "and bow down" is wehištaḥăwwū- (VavHeyShinTavHeyVavVav(וְהִשְׁתַּֽחֲוּוּ־)) which we also see in Exodus 33:10 translated "and worshipped," from the word shachah[2]

V8 And they say to all "the people that follow thee". The root word for follow is from the root word for "foot" which is ReishAyinLamed but in the text we see for the first time the term be·raḡ·le·ḵā[4]
Most of the commentaries say Moses was angry and while the words we see for "great anger" are often translated "fierce anger" there may be another way to see this event from the eyes of Christ who Moses agreed with. The Hebrew words great Bahori with the additional Beit added to the normal ChetReishYod[5] and Ap[6] can mean great anger but that ideological theme of anger and judgement often seen in the Jewish interpretation of the Masoretic text seems to run contrary to the Gospel of Love and forgiveness preached by Christ.
We know that the scriptures are not given to private interpretation but it is important that we depend upon the Holy Spirit in seeking the truth, and our perception of scriptures should be in conformity to the command to seek the Kingdom of God and His righteousness.
Moses knew all was going according to God's plan so what was there to be angry about.
God informed Moses that despite "all these wonders before Pharaoh: and the LORD hardened(chazaq)[7] Pharaoh's heart" so that all the pieces of the plan would be in place.
[1]

One Plague More

1 And the LORD said unto Moses, Yet will I bring one plague more upon Pharaoh, and upon Egypt; afterwards he will let you go hence: when he shall let you go, he shall surely thrust you out hence altogether.

2 Speak now in the ears of the people, and let every man borrow of his neighbour, and every woman of her neighbour, jewels of silver, and jewels of gold.

3 And the LORD gave[2] the people favour in the sight of the Egyptians. Moreover the man Moses was very great in the land of Egypt, in the sight of Pharaoh's servants, and in the sight of the people.

4 And Moses said, Thus saith the LORD, About midnight will I go out into the midst of Egypt:

Firstborn will die

5 And all the firstborn in the land of Egypt shall die, from the firstborn of Pharaoh that sitteth upon his throne, even unto the firstborn of the maidservant that is behind the mill; and all the firstborn of beasts.

6 And there shall be a great cry throughout all the land of Egypt, such as there was none like it, nor shall be like it any more.

7 But against any of the children of Israel shall not a dog move his tongue, against man or beast: that ye may know how that the LORD doth put a difference between the Egyptians and Israel.

8 And all these thy servants[3] shall come down unto me, and bow down themselves unto me, saying, Get thee out, and all the people that follow thee: and after that I will go out. And he went out from Pharaoh in a great anger.

Still not hearken

9 And the LORD said unto Moses, Pharaoh shall not hearken unto you; that my wonders may be multiplied in the land of Egypt.

10 And Moses and Aaron did all these wonders before Pharaoh: and the LORD hardened(chazaq)[7] Pharaoh's heart, so that he would not let the children of Israel go out of his land.
